Our first Pep & Prep a success

The energy was high and the smiles were everywhere at Rise Academy’s first Pep & Prep event. This back-to-school celebration brought together students, families, staff, and community partners for an evening filled with games, food, and fun. Not only did students receive practical information for the school year, they also got to connect with classmates, meet their teachers, get a haircut, and win prizes and raffles.

This event was also a significant adjustment from past orientations. Rather than have the event during the day, when parents would have to take off, we adjusted the schedule to better accommodate our families’ schedules. “The needs of our families will always come first,” says Moira Sallade, Principal.

We’re also grateful for Second Baptist Church, who donated book bags and classroom supplies to each of our students!
