Previous work experience

I was working as an Attendance Intervention Specialist at Chesterfield County Public Schools and I case managed students from Falling Creek Elementary and Meadowbrook High School. Also, I was the Executive Director and Co-Founder at Capaz+IT where I built a curriculum to help adults from immigrant communities transition into new careers.

Favorite thing about working with students

Students always wake me up and teach me how to be alive in the new world they are bringing online. They make me more patient and more self-aware. They make me realize how old I am and, simultaneously, remind me of that young, curious, annoying, and dynamic kid who is still inside trying to shake things up, albeit with stiffer joints and an earlier bed time.

When I’m not working, I enjoy:

Seeing live music, trying a new restaurant, traveling to a foreign country, watching something good on tv with my wife and my kids, if they are in town.

Fun fact

I speak two foreign languages and have lived in two foreign countries.
